During the meeting (2/26-27/2025), Dr. Mohammed Hussein Ahmed, a lecturer from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Nadhim Suleiman Abdulaziz, the supervisor of the RISE (Regional Innovative Science and Education) project at the University of Duhok, participated in a scientific and academic gathering at the University of Zakho. The project was supervised by Dr. Nadhim Suleiman Abdulaziz and aimed to strengthen academic and professional collaboration between Kurdistan’s universities and European institutions.

The gathering included two lecturers from the University of Zakho, Dr. Jassim Mohammed Abdo, the head of the University’s Scientific Affairs, and Dr. Nazar Ismat Ali, the head of International Relations at the University. The event was a part of the launch of the RISE project, which aims to establish long-term collaboration between seven universities from Kurdistan and two European universities, with supervision from the Italian organization UNIMED.

It is important to note that this program plays a significant role in enhancing international collaboration in higher education, professional development, and the establishment of scientific and academic networks. This cooperation is expected to continue for the next two years.
